Dawna Schroeder
Before branding her own Skincare and Cosmetics Company, Dawna started out in the fashion industry as a model, doing fashion shows, photography and commercials. She also instructed for modeling schools, eventually becoming an agency director. Looking for more of a challenge, she wrote and developed curriculum to open a modeling school, which she owned and operated for 10 years.
Seeking more diverse experiences, in the early 1990's she sold her school and moved to her hometown of Seattle, Washington working as Regional Coordinator for Chanel and Regional makeup artist for Christian Dior, Lanc™me, Club Monaco and Chanel.
Having more than 20 years of experience in the cosmetic industry, she formed her own skincare and cosmetic company, selling mainly to physician's offices. She furthered her education by becoming a licensed aesthetician, learning about the skin, what the needs of various skin types are, and how skincare products can be beneficial, rather than detrimental.
The premise was to resolve ongoing complaints from clients frustrated with skincare that strip the skins natural PH balance causing even more problematic skin. Additionally, complaints of allergies to fragrance, low pigmentation in make-up, including uneven coverage and abrasive textures were another factor she aimed to solve.
Completing the formation of L'etoile Skincare and Cosmetics in 1997, Dawna created a product line that uses more plant botanicals. These natural substances require no heavy fragrance to cover up what chemically makes up most skincare lines on the market.
With a finer texture, truer color tones and better coverage L'etoile Skincare and Cosmetics was launched to physicians and is now brought to you via our web site.
